Beware Who You Let In Yuor Guilds
this message is to inform the GW community to beware of who you invite into your guild when pepole randomly request invites to your guild. Our guild suffered a great fall last nite as one of our officers invited a guy he had been pvping with into the guild. The guys GW name is Daolin Swordancer. The Jerk then convinced the officer to make him a officer quick so he could invite his other guild mates from the guild they use to be in before it died. So he made him a officer to allow him to add his friends.
THIS NEVER HAPPENED, the jerk went into the guild hall and entered two rated guild battles and lost them both droping our rating 60 points and giving us a 19-3 record that drop us from 125 to 253 and droping. Then before any one had noticed what had happened he started kick all our members out of the guild. ONCE THIS happened A officer noticed and alerted our Guild leader who promtly kicked his arse out of our guild.
This morning we recived our responce from anet and they basicly will look into it but wont do any thing about it. This action is uncalled on any account and so we bring this to the attention of the GW community in hope that others dont get fooled by this jerk
once again his game id is
Daolin Swordancer

dont forum rules clearly state NOT to use game names when making a post such as this....in addition, I'm not sure who you are upset with...the terrorist or the "officer" who completly dropped your respective guild drawers for a good rogering....seems to me that you have more serious issues on your hands in regards to who has privilges in yer guild?

I agree with Loviatar, this is entirely an issue with your guild, players who ruin ratings and kick members is old news, and by your Officer inviting some random guy to guild, then instantly making him an officer to supposedly invite other players..(why didn't you just get the names of said players and invite them yourself, if the guy had refused then you would of known he was a dumbass), but so he kicked other players, just reinvite them, unless of course you don't know who they were and then in that case, I wouldn't think it was a good guild to begin with...Anyway, don't try to blame A-net, if your upset you can only blame your self and your guild.

sorry but seems to be an internal issue here. Random invites have reprecautions and your not the only guild that has faced this.
anyways ... sorry this happened but maybe your officers need a little more training ... although he may be mad for inviting the guy in ... it is his fault for using poor judgement and the only fix is knowledge.
To all the guild leaders out there ... lend some knowledge to your officers and leadership. They will sponge it off of ya.

To the person who first started this post....Are you truly mad at Anet, or mad at your officer? Consider posting rules for your guild members. Let them know what they are and are not allowed to do. Enforce a voting on new members.....Cuts down on the number of idiots you trust with your cape. It has truly worked wonders in my guild.....I am the leader, trust me when I say pick five officers you TRUST, and vote on everything else....And personally, demote the officer who made the devestating mistake...or he may be liable for this again. It is not an Anet issue, it is the Leaders issue....Making a guild is like having a daycare.....Constant attention

Geez! A little common sense would have saved you a huge headache. I'm the Leader of my Guild which has 3 Officers and about 20 members. We started small and built slowly specifically to avoid having any idiots. In order to join, you have to quest/mission with at least one Officer and another member, if you seem like you fit in, we accept you, if not no big deal. We use vent and love to get together as a Guild to GvG or whip a particular mission (Thunderkeep comes to mind). We're not an uber-Guild ( rank 2300 something) and are in it more for fun than anything else. Occasionally we boot somebody (happened once) and that was after myself and the Officers discussed it. The dude just wouldn't learn and was sponging off everybody so he had to go. The point of a Guild (IMHO) is to have a group of people with similar playstyles and senses of humor who can get together and enjoy the game as a team. If you think large numbers of members is impressive then thats great for you but I bet its harder for you to put together a good team build than it is for me. Just my two cents.

I believe you should never make anyone an officer in any guild unless you know very well who they are, as in, good friends, people you know and trust and have played with for a long time. If your guild leader makes random people guild officers, that's your own problem for having not taken said precautions in promoting peoples. Recruit smart.

The guy will simply nerf his character by that name, make a new one, and start again. Happens everyday with asshats.
Either game with people you know, or join a guild rather than lead one, and that problem is cut down considerably.
